What is a sharing group?

Summary

In a prayer group or during a session, a sharing group:

  • 
tells how the Lord is leading us in the group or session in order to facilitate the action of the Holy Spirit
  • is where we listen to each other about what touches us – in the teachings, the testimonies, the Word of God, the worship, etc.
  • where we pray for each other and in particular we ask for the prayers of the group members


It is not: 


  • a place for giving advice
  • 
a forum for discussion on general or intellectual topics, or on too specific cases

It is a commitment:

  • 
to pray for the intentions of others
  • to keep confidential what was shared
  • not to monopolize the conversation to the detriment of others.

The sharing group is a time of fraternal sharing in prayer.
