Since 1975, the members of the Emmanuel Community have loved to gather for prayer, to praise and celebrate the Lord in the graces of the Renewal in the heart of the Catholic Church. Seeking songs which can express the joy of believing, they first took them from the American Renewal, and then,for the Liturgy, from the works of Fahter André Gouzes.

Soon, several brothers and sisters felt a call to compose songs themselves, with inspiration appropriate to the Emmanuel Community. In this way the famous "Green Book" was born. It is now widely known.
