Active Retirees

A new stage

Retirement or pre-retirement is a period of new possibilities marked by a new rhythm of life. After an existence, which is often very full, all of a sudden we have time, an unknown luxury ! Thus life, far from being over, permits us to achieve projects that have always been put off.

A Journey to construct

Married people, who have the good fortune not to be separated by death, or divorce, need to (re) learn how to do things together. For singles - whether widowers, widows, or divorced - solitude risks being a formidable enemy. If through age or sickness our strength is declining, experiencing this new rhythm of life can be very trying.

Available and wise

This period also renders us more available to others : to children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, friends, neighbours, former work colleagues... It is the age of listening - why not acknowledge it - when we are called to wisdom.

Remember and live a new hope

At the moment of retirement, we have to weigh things up. We run the risk of letting ourselves be filled with bitterness because lots of things turned out differently from what we had dreamed.

Nevertheless, a new hope can be born and a new balance achieved.
