Today, January 25th, we celebrate the Conversion of Saint Paul. In the Gospel we can hear the call: “Go to all nations and make disciples”!
Every year, young people want to respond to this call by committing a year in an ESM (Emmanuel Schools of Mission). For them, it is a call to become disciples of Christ, witnesses of his mercy and missionaries around the world.
For over 30 years, a total of more than 1,500 young people have gone through an ESM. Many of them are now the pillars of the Community and are involved and dedicated in the Church. Among them are 50 priests and more than 50 have consecrated their lives to the Lord in celibacy. The ESM are “a key element” of the youth service and the life of our entire community. It’s together, that we can carry these ambitious projects and let them to grow in the length of time.
In this day, January 25, and for the first time, ESM Day is initiated:
It is a day of prayer for the ESM youth, of today and of tomorrow. In this day, please give time for this prayer
It is a day wherein we want to suggest to you dear brothers and sisters, to ask the Holy Spirit to inspire each one of us so that we may be able to invite a young adult to do the ESM.
We are counting on you. Happy feast day of St. Paul!
